About this deal

Phillips screwdrivers won’t fit very well, so use them with great caution (avoid using them if possible). I will stick with the JIS as well, guessing that 'new' standard must be one of them universal deals.

Using the correct JIS Screwdrivers will prevent Cam out, therefore preventing damage to JIS fixings that Philips screwdrivers can cause. At the same time, the screwdrivers that work well with JIS screws (Shimano and Japanese motorcycles in particular), don’t slip any easier out of Phillips screws (as far as I could tell – they work better with those too).

JIS: JIS Ph1, JIS Ph2, JIS Ph3; Phillips: Ph0, Ph1 , Ph2 (x2), Ph3; Flat: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7mm; PzDrive: Pz1 (x2), Pz2 (x3), Pz3 (x2); Hex: 2, 2. When the joinery department tried to switch from slot-head to ‘cross-head’ screws they were not impressed. Set of four JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) Ph2 and Ph3 impact driver bits in both standard (36mm) and long length (80mm) sizes.

However, higher mathematic is not useful in normal, everyday life of a typical Joe, unless he is nuclear physicist :), while knowledge how to use basic tools is. In this post, I’ll explain how to find a cross-head (Phillips) screwdriver that doesn’t slip out when unscrewing a tight screw.Holders with bits are more heavy and (more important) more bulky at the point than complete screwdrivers. I was told that they are JIS compatible since they are made to the DIN current standard which is JIS compatible. If you want a real JIS screwdriver, you better hope you get a NOS vessel because nobody makes them anymore. Cordless screwdrivers with a quick chuck and drills with bit drivers or bits can be used with these 1/4" shank bits and magnetic holders.
